DANIEL ANGELUS NOMINATED FOR BEST FILM SCORE OF 2022 AT NEW YORK

Daniel Angelus has been nominated for Best Film Score of 2022 at the 6th Annual New York Film Awards in New York City. The official music score for the short film The Lights of Dawn, directed by female powerhouse short film maker Sadie Duarte in Spain, has been felt and heard all around the world and has currently scooped 6 award wins and 3 award nominations at International Film Awards worldwide.

Daniel said today: It is an absolute honour and super humbling to have been nominated for best film score of 2022 by the New York Film Awards. I put a lot of my own emotion into this work. Fingers crossed for the big day.

hey everybody. its been a very powerful year for me. from winning a total of 7 awards for the music i have made for film, to soundtracking a movie debuting on amazon prime video, to performing my first full UK solo tour after years of grinding away at making this music heard and felt. i will never forget the moment i stepped on stage at manchester academy and delivered probably the best show of my life to a really great crowd. my official youtube channel, which started showcasing my music in 2015, surpassed half a million streams/video views in 2022. i have been working really hard behind all of that on my first bachelors degree and will go on to do my masters degree in 2023. i feel like in 2022 i finally started to truly believe in myself and have been very gently allowing that to bring me tremendous experiences i will never forget, and hopefully neither will the audiences who let it in. i must reamin grounded however and keep my morals and ethics intact. i do this work because i love it and i share it with you all in a very vulnerable way. it has been noticed and praised, but it must always be a humbling experience. if it is not, i will stop until it feels humbling again. i feel like 2022 has probably been the hardest working year in my entire life but i have enjoyed all of it so much, i intend to continue this workload and effort into 2023 and 2024. i have a lot to share coming up in the next few years. i have several collaborations with some very skilled artists that will be released in the next 12 months and alongside that i have filmed 2 music videos for 2 of my upcoming solo singles that will be released in 2023. i also have an array of exciting secret projects that are currently in active development in europe that will allow me to try something i have always dreamt of doing, but have not been able to pull together until now. it is early days on those projects and i am taking my time to make sure their entry to the world is done properly. i am so eternally grateful for the universe that surrounds me and allows me to breathe my creativity into it. i want to thank every producer, promoter, venue, staff member, and my tour manager. i want to thank every person who travelled to see my shows in 2022, every person who streamed any song of mine and every single person who invested any time or effort into my art. thank you so much. i love you, and appreciate you. please, be safe and comfortable. daniel xox

DANIEL ANGELUS WINS AT CYNON VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL

Daniel Angelus has scooped the Best Music Soundtrack award at the Cynon Valley Film Festival in Wales, United Kingdom. The aard marks Daniel Angelus’ 7th award win for his musical creations for the soundtrack of the highly acclaimed experimental Spanish short film ‘The Lights of Dawn’ directed by the acclaimed Spanish female film director Sadie Duarte.

DANIEL ANGELUS NOMINATED AT EUROPEAN CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARDS

Daniel Angelus’ song ‘One Word’ from his 2016 debut album Miracle Dark, and featured in the European short film ‘The Lights of Dawn’, has been nominated for the grand jury prize at the European Cinematography Awards in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
This is Daniel Angelus’ 2nd major nomination, alongside 6 winners awards for his ethereal soundtrack for The Lights of Dawn, directed by multi-award-winning director Sadie Duarte.

MR. EARTH MOVIE AND SOUNDTRACK - OUT NOW!

The moving sci-fi family motion picture Mr. Earth has been released on Amazon Prime Video today.
The film was heralded recently at the prestigious Utah film festival with awards and nominations for the cast.

Mr. Earth’s official motion picture soundtrack was created and recorded by Daniel Angelus.

NEW FESTIVAL ADDED TO DANIEL ANGELUS 2022 UK TOUR

Daniel Angelus has been confirmed to perform on the mainstage on Sunday July 31st 2022 at the Clarence Park Music Festival in Wakefield, UK. More details including set times will be released closer to the festival dates.

Daniel’s scheduled tourdate in London at The Camden has unfortunately been removed from the tour as the venue no longer has a music license. Daniel has promised via social media to perform again in London in the near future.

DANIEL PICKS UP 6TH FILM AWARD IN TEXAS, USA

Daniel Angelus has won the Best Music Score award at the Cowpokes International Film Festival in Electra, Texas, USA.
The award is for the soundtrack that Daniel created for the international short film The Lights of Dawn by critically acclaimed female director Sadie Duarte.
This award is the 6th international win for Daniel Angelus, and the 8th nomination for his dreamy and emotional music for The Lights of Dawn.

BRAND NEW SINGLE RELEASED TODAY
